A:A shear welder is a specialized machine used in continuous metal strip
processing lines. Its primary function is to automatically shear the tail end of
the preceding coil and the head end of the succeeding coil, align them
precisely, and perform a butt weld. This ensures continuous production with
minimal downtime.
The machine utilizes Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding.
•First, the hydraulic or pneumatic shearing mechanism shears off the
irregular ends of the strips.
•Next, clamping devices secure the two strips, bringing them into tight butt
alignment.
•Under the protection of inert gas (Argon), a tungsten electrode generates an
electric arc that melts the joint interface.
•The entire cross-section is welded simultaneously under pressure, forming a
strong, uniform seam.
